no, no it doesn't. WHY is defy pain getting so used in AB right now, like the flavor of the week. its a BAD flavor, a flavor that has a nasty aftertaste even though it is already nasty to begin with! They say "Oh i never die because of defy pain + HB and i can solo shrines!!!!!" and all the time they die way more then me, or anyone else, and even though they CAN solo shrines, its extremly slow due to their skillbar.

So please, when you see a tank warrior of any sort, PLEASE for the love of god tell them politly why they shouldn't run the build. Thats all i can think of to do, but i know they will still be out there.

Seriously, why is it the flavor of the week though?

My alliance just switched back to Kurzick after being luxon for a year......I remember why i miss being luxon so much.

Ps dont turn this into a lux vs kurz thread. Thats just my opinion, i could be wrong.

it's in no way effective and you can surely expect yourself to go POOF when you meet a mesmer / ranger with a cripple / speed reduction + degen

I would appreciate the info, I always love learning things in PvP. And about the bit late...i dunno what you mean.

You get in a group with a necro and he's running a MM build but where you're going there are no corpses. Telling this to the Necro is giving info.

Telling someone that his skillbar is *bad,noob,useless or insert anything you want here* is not info.

Some skills might be the flavor of the month, that does not means its a bad skill.

I use [skill]Warrior's Endurance[/skill] on Jora's skill bar. is it a bad skill ? Not if its use with the proper skill bar; just as defy Pain.

So to take 1 skill, to say its sucks without any knowledge of the rest of the skill bar is a bit harsh.

Another exemple ? [skill]meteor shower[/skill] Some will say its a bad skill, but its a very efficient ward against melee if use correctly.

Meh, go with the bull's charger tank for AB. It's about the only thing worth using in there...easy targets. Sins try to gank, you screw up ONE skill with counter-blow, and their entire combo is fk'd up, they try to run, you smack em down with bull's charge/sprint-bull's strike. Too easy...

People use bad elites in AB. People just tend to use builds in AB that won't work anywhere else.

I am certainly not suggesting Defy Pain works in AB.

I hate to break it to the OP, but Luxons use that skill just as much as Kurzicks. I always used to give the Luxons a bad time because a warrior would use it and I would just whittle down his health and wait for it to expire and let him kill himself.

Obviously you cant read, because i said to tell them POLITELY why they shouldn't run the build and explain WHY, not call them a noob. And yes, that IS info. Look up the definition of Information.

Also I look at their builds when they oh so willingly Ping their builds like its a godly one. 5 defense and 3 attacks (which arent that great). and msot of them use the exact SAME thing.

I figured they did. I just noticed it when we turned back to Kurzick though and it was mostly on my side. But i'm sure both sides do stupid/annoying things. Really we both mob, both use the oh so hated touchies, pvxwiki builds that people hate, etc etc. Only difference is the PvE portion really. I miss being a pirate, but for PvP it doesn't matter.

Warrior's Endurance is good. Meteor Shower is good. Defy Pain is bad. The difference is that Warrior's Endurance and Meteor Shower can be a part of builds that actually work. Defy Pain just wastes your elite.

and the reason a lot of those wammos use defy pain is because of their 100% pve environment.
In pve of course bonus health is gonna help you in some instances, and after that you have a monk to heal you.

But in AB most of the enemies won't let you go unitl they kill you, obviously when there's an advantage; and that's the thing those wammos fail to see, the hit defy pain + dolyak signet + healing breeze expecting to survive that antimelee necro but most of the time that just won't do.

BUT this is why I am saying whenever we see it, we should explain why they shouldnt use it. try and make the community better at fighting.

The thing is alot of people who run bad bars tell you to 'stfu' when you suggest a change.

It's great that you want the community to be better players when you come across things like this, it's getting those guys to listen that's the real problem.

Very true, infact I used to be like this. Someone would tell me I couldn't do something with a build, and I would be in self denial and say "DUR STOOPID NOOBERZ I CAN DO ANYZING".....then I die. Ive learned lol.
